LUXOMETRO is the first luminous art performance in which the Artist deals with the subject of the relationship macro- micro at an urban scale, a metaphor for the superiority of nature over the single human being.
The artistic action consisted in repositioning in the urban panorama the biggest Gasometer in Europe, a monument of industrial archeology more than 90 meters high, by applying on its metal framework more than 10 km of LED tube, the segments of which light on and off in sync with the music.
The Luminous Artwork, powerful and minimalist, has imposed its presence within a several kilometers radius, towering over the environment and distorting the usual night perception of it. The Municipality of Rome estimates that more than 2 million people have seen it.
